Lg cdi players

I got a LG brand cdi player for 4 bucks at a thrift store today and wondered
if anyone knew about how it is setup.
It goes to the startup screen fine and loads discs...but does anyone know if
the remote is needed to play things?
the buttons on the machine work due to me letting it goto the screensaver
and pushing one.
but it wont start the disc.
it's a GDI-700M

ok i can't seem to find any auctions or site that sell remotes or mice for a
cdi system.
Anyone know a site that might sell a mouse for a cdi machine?
