I was wondering if anyone has sucessfully burned Zelda's Adventure for
the CD-I. My machine won't recognize it and I've tried Nero and
Alcohol 120 and no luck. :(

That looks like a great guide for ripping and burning CD-I images
using the bin/cue format, but unfortunately this one is an .iso file.
I've already burned several working images using Bin/Cue. Is there a
possibility that .iso doesn't work with CD-I? I've tried another .iso
image using both Nero and Alcohol 120% and it won't play either.

Hi Bruce,

I'm ***@r aka CougarCDi.
I'm also connected to LeMondeduCDi.

Are your settings correct in Nero.
For Zelda these are;

Data Mode2
Block Size 2352

Use a silver layered disk. No other color.

Can you tell me what other iso-image you tried to burn?
I might try it myself also. I have the Zelda Image.
Where did you get the image from. I guess it's from the
eDonkey network.
If you have some titles to share that we don't have than
please become a member of LeMondeduCDi and get access to
some ftp-servers.

Cheers,

Cougar

Hey Cougar,

I think I've tried those settings, but I'll try another disc. I may be
mistaken.

I have two different images of the incomplete Mario game, one works
(cue/bin) and one doesn't (.iso). The images which I've successfully
burned are: Escape from CyberCity, Arcade Classics, Zelda - The Wand
of Gamelon, The Legend of Zelda - Link - Faces of Evil, Mega Maze, and
Hotel Mario. I also have a Kmart (car) battery cross-reference on
CD-I. I bought my cd-i player from a display kiosk when one of the
local Kmart stores went out of business.

Yes, I did get my CD-i images from Emule. In fact, I think I've gotten
quite a bit of data from you...

Cheers,

Bruce

No luck with those settings. Nero and Alcohol 120% say it's a mode 1
image. Someone e-mailed me and suggested me to try Disc Juggler which
I did. It allowed me to select mode 2. Still no luck. :(

Maybe I should just let it go since it's supposedly not a good game
either way. However, it is supposed to be better than the other 2 CD-i
Zelda games which are really not up to Zelda standards.

Well, it's really unluck that you are not able do burn this title.
I like this game, it's a different games from others Zeldas on CD-i because
it takes the upside view from the original Nintendo version but with a very
good quality.
About using Nero in Mode 2, it deffenitly sure that it's works cause I also
did it myself.
Try again with Cougar settings!
Good luck!

huh. I don't know then. Maybe I just have a bad one. Nero won't even
let me use Mode 2... At least I can assume that I don't need to use
any more CD-Rs on this .iso.

Thank you.
